Unveiled 10th November 1919 by Sir Vincent L. Raven, K.B.E., Chief Mechanical Engineer.

Memorial Description

Plaque of brass in wood frame. There is a border of ivy leaves. At the top are the Naval and Union flags, with three cherubs each side of the flagpoles. There is a crown above each central cherub. On the wood frame, a rose is carved in each corner.
There is a smaller plaque underneath giving details of the unveiling.

1. During the war, approx. £340 had been given by the mileage staff to the Red Cross and other funds, including one for the supply of tobacco for members of the staff overseas.
