Notes

1. It is an extension to the WW1 Memorial,[which is located above this WW2 memorial], W53.01 to contain the names from 1939-45. It was estimated to cost �120, being raised by voluntary subscription, �over �100 being now in hand and the rest assured�. It was designed by H.L. Honeyman, architect, and made by J.H. Morrison, Gosforth. The extension was to be in Doddington stone, with Hoptonwood stone �egg-shell polished� as second choice.

Diocese of Newcastle Faculty Book 2, No. 1666, 21/09/1948, allows for 1939-45 names to be added to those from 1914-18.
