Unveiled July 1920 by A. Kirkup, Chief Agent of Lambton Collieries.

Memorial Description

Plaque. There is a wide border of oak leaves and acorns, culminating in four acorns in each corner. The name of the church is on a scroll at centre top. Below this at centre is a wreath with the words “Roll of Honour” inside. The names are listed in two columns divided by a vertical line. Lettering is in Roman letters for the dedication and sans serif letters for the names.

1. This plaque was in private hands while the person tried to find a permanent home for it.

2. The Elmore Banner Group and Easington Lane Heritage have a very active WW1 and WW2 group at the Access point in Easington Lane and these have erected the memorial on an inside wall
