Memorial Description

Four leaded windows. The dedication appears in the easternmost window on a lozenge shaped pane, approx. 120mm high x 175mm wide. The lettering is in serif lower case lettering apart from the words “Merchant Navy” which are in capitals painted in white on a black background.

In memory of those men of
the Merchant Navy who
lost their lives in the 1939-1945 war,
these four nave windows were given
through the generosity of Christina
Coleman and others.

1. In 1958 these leaded lights replaced the rolled plate glass windows already there.
