In St. Mary's Church, Church Street. On the wall of the landing of the stairs at the west end of the church.

Unveiled April 1925 by Major Sitwell.

Memorial Description

Plaque, 5 feet high by 4 feet wide. At the top a swag is carved, bearing the dates 1914-1918 standing proud.
There are two carved columns on either side, and the monument is divided into three panels by two inner columns of leaves. Above these is the quotation "Dulce et decorum est pro patria mori" carved in sans serif capitals, and using "v" instead of "u".
At the bottom, the words "Roll" "of" "Honour" stand proud at the foot of each column of names.
Below this, there is a carved ribbon, on which the words "Wooler Church Schools" stand proud in sans serif letters. The names are incised in single columns in each panel, using sans serif capitals throughout.
