Unveiled 14th November 1920 by Miss Foster the sister of Mr Sidney J. Foster of London who was unable to attend.

Memorial Description

Plaque of classical design of white marble on a grey Belgian marble pattress, 2 feet 9 inches high x 2 feet 3 inches wide. In the shallow gable top is a raised design of leaves and flowers. The names are listed in two columns. All lettering is a mix of sans serif and elongated Roman capitals.
The details of its removal from the church are at the bottom.

This tablet is erected in gratitude, honour / and love, to all who left this Church and / School to serve in the Great War 1914-1918, / and in memory of (names) / who died in the cause of freedom.
Removed from Tower Street Congregational Church / after it was closed October 26th, 1930.
