Memorial Description
Clock with two large faces above the upper middle window in the gable end. It has Roman numerals. It is supported by a large wrought iron bracket.
On the same wall, set between the upper and lower windows, is the plaque bearing the dedication. The lettering is in leaded Roman capitals.
A bracket has been placed on the wall on each side of the plaque so that wreaths can be hung, presumably from the windows above.

Notes
1. This is similar to the clocks at Wearhead and Hetton-le-Hole.
2. At a social evening in 1920, ex-servicemen were welcomed home. Over £300 had been raised in Westgate over the previous year, and this had been handed out as gifts of £3. 5s to each ex-serviceman who returned or to the families of the fallen.
3. In 2014 the clock was refurbished for the Commemoration of the start of the Great War.
