Memorial Description
Stained glass window of a single light. At the centre top is Christ triumphant, surrounded at the top by angels, with saints below these and at the bottom by men and women in uniforms, representing soldiers through the ages. The inscription is carried in a panel at the bottom of the window.
Inscription
To the glory of God and in proud
and sorrowing memory of five of my gallant friends
Capt. R.F. Guthrie; Capt. F.C. Lemmey; Capt. C.M. Joicey;
Capt. J.E. Ross; Capt. R.R. Jackson.
who gave their lives for their King and Empire and that the present
and future generations of England might live as a free nation.
This window is erected to the above, and in the hope
that it will remind us who are living that God and the Empire
stand now as then before all even unto death.
