Plaque 27cm high x 39.5cm wide. It is mounted on a wood frame which has a double line border of lighter wood, and wood bosses at the corners. The plate is very plain, the lettering is in italics.

Notes
1. The Bishop’s Advisory Committee did not care for the original design which was “poor” and “brass unsuitable” but agreed reluctantly to allow it. However, it was not to be “on the east wall, nor in the chancel, nor on a pillar”. The revised plan was for a copper plaque to be placed next to the window near the pulpit and behind the choir stall, which was accepted.
2. Sgt. Mackenzie was serving with 44 Sqdn. He was a crew member of Hampden I AD840 KM- which took off on a mission to Hamm. None of the 4 crew members survived and all are buried in Reichswald Forest War Cemetery.
