Notes

1. This memorial is a replica of the one in Holy Trinity Church S118.02, except that the marble surround is fawn coloured.

2. The original building was on the sea front, but was subsequently demolished and a new chapel built on the south side of Station Lane at its junction with Farndale Road.

3. “The caretaker pointed out that there was a furrow in the marble at the top. This had been due to a leaking roof dripping on to it for decades without attention”.
