Dedicated 6th February 1921 by the Bishop of Durham Dr Hensley Henson.

Memorial Description

Plaque of brass set on a grey marble pattress. There is a wide border of oak leaves. At centre top is a wreath with the words “Pro Patria” in the centre and the dates “1914” and “1918” on either side. At centre in the bottom border is a scroll with the words “Pro Libertate”. The dedication is in the centre of the plaque, with the names listed in a single column to the right and to the left. All lettering is in Roman capitals. The words “These gave their lives” are in italic lower case.
