Memorial Description

Book of Remembrance.
Hard-backed cardboard folder with fake leather edgings, containing illuminated manuscript lists of names. The pages on which the entries are made are themselves bound rather like memo pads of about foolscap length but relatively narrow, the pads being held within the folder by treasury tags.
The lettering is black with red initial letters for forenames and surnames. Some names have been struck through, others have a tick beside the name, and one name has a query beside it.

Inscription

Your prayers are asked for the following members of His Majesty's Forces

Notes

1. No indication is given on the document, or on the pages, of which church or parish the entries relate to – the only clue being the fact that the Records Office has this logged under Ecclesiastical papers from Trimdon. They are likely, therefore, to relate to St. Mary Magdalene Church.
