Unveiled 7th July 1920 by Mr. Thomas Gibson, M.S.M. an employee; dedicated by Rev. F. Hardy, Vicar.

Memorial Description

Plaque 2 feet high x 2 feet 6 inches wide on hardwood pattress 6 inches wider. There is a patterned border of oak leaves around the edge. The names of those who died are set out in two columns. The top and bottom lines are in Gothic upper and lower case lettering. The dedication is in Roman capitals, and the names are in sans serif capitals. The quotation at the bottom is in red Gothic lettering.

Brass on wood.

For God, King and Country / this tablet was erected by the employees of / Seaton Delaval Co-operative Society / in affectionate remembrance of / (names) / who made the supreme sacrifice in / the Great War 1914-1919.
