Notes

1. " . . . When I became Vicar here some four years ago, I was very sad to find that there was no memorial for the Second World War. I have managed to collect together a number of names, some with ranks and units, of men from Percy Main who were killed. At the service on Remembrance Day at the WWI memorial, these names are read out. It may be that at some time we shall be able to establish a Memorial. Even a framed record would be better than nothing..." (Rev. J.M. Pennington)
