Memorial Description

Plaque 138cm high x 76cm wide with dome at top. There is a wide border of leaves around the edge. At centre top is the badge of the Northumberland Fusiliers with a red rose to the left and white rose to the right. The names are listed according to ranks, with privates' names listed in three columns. The lettering is a combination of elongated Roman and sans serif in black with some red initials.

Notes

1. “Latten” brass is the material that is used in the memorials to be found in most of the old English Churches: it has withstood the wear and tear of centuries, and is now made exclusively by Mr. Gawthorp, of 16, Long Acre, W.C., and 19, Castle Street, W., who has designed and engraved this handsome memorial for the Regiment.’ (August 31st 1899, p.128)
