Memorial Description
Plaque with fluted raised edge. At centre top is a wreath raised in half relief with the dates on each side. The names are listed in three columns. All lettering is in raised Roman capitals.

1. There are similar plaques to cover Elswick (1914-1918 and 1939-45) and Redheugh (1914)
2. The memorial at Elswick was unveiled at the same time as this one.
3. The Head office at the time was in Grainger Street.
4. From the Company, in 1914-18, 714 men joined up, of whom 70 died.
5. In 1939-45, 572 men served, 24 were killed, 10 were prisoners of war and 1 was missing.
