Memorial Description

Plaque, about 2 feet 6 inches high x 3 feet 6 inches wide set side by side with the County Shield between them. Each plaque has a wreath raised in half relief in the top outer corners. The names are listed in four columns. The lettering is in raised Roman capitals.

Bronze plaques set in red brick wall.

1. Arthur James Cogbill named on this plaque, was a teacher from the former Bedlington Grammar School,

2. In 2009 the memorial was moved from near the pond to a place more accessible to the public near the Viking statue. It was rededicated there on November 11th, 2009. The costs were borne by Draeger UK.
