Memorial Description

Cartoon 26 inches high x 16 inches wide of the stained glass window formerly in the Trinity Methodist Church.
The window was of a single light, with tracery which divided it into five panels. In the oculus is God as king, with minor lights to right and left containing the Greek letters "Alpha" and "Omega". The main five panels have at centre top Christ on the cross. Below, and dominating the window, is an angel, whose arms and wings spread across the panels to right and left; he is holding broken chains. Above him are two angels supporting a scroll bearing the words "There shall be no more death".
At the top of the outer four panels are angels. At bottom left is St. George, beneath the words "The Lord God is my strength". Bottom right is a knight, beneath the words "Thine O Lord is the Victory". Bottom centre left are an artist, a fisherman and a scholar, gazing up at the angel, with a fishing boat and buildings in the background. Bottom centre right are a king, a child, and the Virgin Mary? also gazing up at the angel.
The dedication and names are carried right across the bottom, written in black Roman capitals.
Below is a casket which bears pieces of this window. The story is told on a brass plate on the front of the casket in sans serif capitals.
