Declared open 19th November 1922 by Lieut.Col. W.B. Greenwell, D.S.O.; dedicated by the Vicar, Rev. L. Heatherington.
Memorial Description
Gates of black wrought iron with leaf pattern arch over opening with a wreath at its centre, bearing a gold painted cross. The gates are fixed to stone decorative pillars attached to a stone wall.
There is a plaque of grey stone set into the right hand side gate pillar which bears the dedication in Roman capitals.

1. A newspaper reports that the plaque bearing the dedication was of brass.
