Memorial Description

Plaque 30 inches high x 20 inches wide (762mm x 508mm) on wood pattress. The plaque has a raised oval wreath in each top corner, and a raised Tudor rose in each bottom corner. The names are listed in two columns. The lettering is in raised sans serif capitals.

Names

Notes

1. The church was renamed St.Andrew’s following the amalgamation with other churches.

2. Under the title "These also served" are the names of P. Carlyon, John Thompson and James Thompson. This might indicate that the plaque was compiled very soon after the end of the Great War. As we now know they all died.

There is a 'J. Thompson' on L25.01, but there is no indication as to which J. Thompson this is.
