Plaque, 51cm high x 91.5cm wide. There is a wide border of leaves around the edge, and a medallion in each corner. There is a cross incised in the top left hand corner. The lettering is in Roman capitals.

London Gazette 22/05/1916 reports him being appointed from Temporary Captain in the Scottish Rifles to temporary Captain in Royal West Kents.
