Unveiled 30th October 1920 by Sir Thomas Oliver of Newcastle.

Memorial Description

Plaque 21 inches high x 33 inches wide. The plaque has been inscribed to give the look of a temple with a slight gable roof at centre top. Inside this, the top has been divided into three panels. In the centre is a wreath with the words “Roll of Honour” inside. In the left hand panel is the church details and in the right hand panel is the place name. The whole of the bottom panel contains the dedication and the names. The names are in two columns divided by a vertical line. The quotation is carried in the border at the bottom. Lettering is a mix of Roman and sans serif capitals.

Notes

1. This is in private hands. It came from the Second Avenue Methodist when it was closed, but its previous history of how it came to be there is unknown.
