Unveiled May 1922 by Mr. W. Griffiths, an ex-President of the Club.

Memorial Description

Plaque 4 feet 6 inches high at the sides rising to 5 feet 6 inches at centre, and 4 feet 10 inches wide. It has rounded top, in which the title of the club and dates appear on scrolls carved in half relief.
The main plaque is divided into three sunken panels. The names are in a single column in each panel, with the names of the fallen inside an oval border at the top of the centre panel, with scroll bearing the words “killed in action” painted above.
Lettering is Roman capitals, italicised in the two outer panels.

Leeds Branch Club Union Ltd., but "made by ex- servicemen"

Notes

1. Gold medals had already been presented by the club to all members who served in the army and navy.

2. From the club, 57 men enlisted voluntarily, although over 100 others also served.
