Memorial Description

Door to the vestry. There are three panels to the door, in which the veneer is symmetrically placed. At the top of each panel is mounted a badge of the Army, Navy and Royal Air Force.
The plaque is 2 feet high x 3 feet long. It has a narrow double incised border outlining the central panel. The names are listed two on each line Roman capitals.

The oak door to the vestry was given / in proud memory of those members of / the parish of Greatham who gave their / lives in the World War 1939-1945 and / whose names are inscribed below.

1. The names are the same as those on the cross in the churchyard.

2. A Diocesan Faculty was granted for a Memorial Chapel after 1914-18 and reapplied for in 1939-45
