Memorial Description

Trophy Stand, 18 inches (17cm minimum and 27cm maximum) diameter. The lettering is incised on a metal strip attached to the side of the stand, using serif capitals. The names are given in two long lines, five names per line.

Wesley Hall / In sacred memory of those who / during the Great War 1914-1918 / paid the supreme sacrifice.
In honour of all who served from our Church.

Original trophy which stood on top is missing.

Notes

1. The stand was given to A.D. Walton in 1982 by Sam Starkey of 65 Benwell Grange, and passed to Tyne & Wear Museums in 1982.
