Original Location

The (old) Town Hall. The Corporation moved to the new premises in 1967.

Memorial Description

Plaque 609mm (2 feet) high x 914mm (3 feet) long with oak surround 914mm (3 feet) high x 1.13m (4 feet 6 inches) long. The town badge is at the top. Regimental badges of the fallen are down both sides. The names are listed in two columns, under a departmental heading. All lettering is painted white using Roman capitals.
