a. Unveiled by Wm. Draffan, an elder of the church.
b. Unveiled by Rev. Prof. D. Whitehorn, Moderator of the Presbyterian Church of England.

Memorial Description

Two plaques, one for each war, fitted together into a single frame possibly for the unveiling of the second one. The upper plaque has a domed top which is echoed by the pattress. The names are listed in three columns on both. The lettering of the dedication is in Roman capitals and the names in sans serif capitals.
There is also the octagonal font of stone, very plain, with the cross of St. George raised in half relief in a sunken circle on one face.

Notes

1. Three plaques, together with the font and another plaque from the old Congregational Church in Union Street are now in a small storeroom amid a labyrinth of stairs and corridors at the rear of the first floor.
