Notes
1. “Ref. your letter dated 9th Jan. 1999. I was manager in Paxton & Purves for 11 years before it was sold. I am now the manager of Your More Store. The War Memorial Plaque is now hanging in the Town Hall as we all felt it should be there for people to see. I hope I have been of some help to you. Yours sincerely, Sylvia Knaggs, Your More Store, 125 Marygate, Berwick on Tweed, TD15 1BJ.” Reply received to letter from J. Brown requesting information on its whereabouts following the sale of Paxton and Purves. The “Your More Store” has now closed.
