Memorial Description

Roll of Honour behind glass in a frame. There is a green border of laurel leaves. The Masonic Lodge badge is featured at centre top with the inscription on either side. Below it is a Bishop’s mitre, encircled with a laurel wreath, and round it “Wear Valley Lodge Bishop Auckland No.1121”.
The names are in two sections; the ones above are entitled “Brethren” and the lower ones are entitled “Lewises”.
The titles to the names and the headings to the columns are in red Gothic script, the names themselves are in plain black capitals.

Dark wood frame, paper, glass.

In need of cleaning. Otherwise good.

Notes

1. The use of the name “Lewises” implies that these were sons of Masons, though not themselves members, though the “Brethren” obviously were.

2. The Masonic Hall was shared by several lodges, of which Wear Valley is the largest.
