Notes
1. This used to be a Church of England Parish church.
2. The chapel was to be used for Holy Communion. It is still used on special occasions by the new Roman Catholic congregation.
3. The painted altar screen is not part of the original chapel, having been brought from St. Mary's when the church was taken over by the Roman Catholics. The chapel is immediately next to a carved tomb of one of the Duke's of Northumberland, and it is unclear from its present arrangement how this was divided off from the chapel in the first instance.
4. The altar may well be the original used in the setting up of this chapel, but this is not certain.
