Memorial Description

Square monument with slightly sloped top set in a circular sheep stell.

The whole is set on a concrete two-stepped base.
On the back is the badge of the Royal Air Force in full colour.
On the top is a list of the aircraft which crashed in raised gilded Times Roman lower case lettering.
Behind it, close to the stell wall, is a larger plaque bearing a map showing the locations of all the crashed aircraft. At the centre is a panel inside a gilded border bearing a Roll of Honour. At the top is the RAF badge in full colour. The names are in three columns in raised sans serif lower case lettering.
Each entry is numbered. Around the edge is a plan showing the crash sites with the relevant number and has a silhouette of the aircraft with the names of the crews. The silhouettes of numbers 5 and six have been transposed.
