Plaque, circular, 45 mm diameter, with white border, blue background and raised white lower case Roman lettering.

(1897-1942)
Born at Mere Knolls House, Sunderland.
As a 2nd Lieutenant Royal Fusiliers, he was attached
to the Royal Flying Corps in 1915 as a pilot.
He was awarded the Military Cross for action
against Zeppelin raids & the Distinguished
Service Order for conspicuous gallantry and
resource in the execution of a special
mission behind enemy lines.
