Notes

1 It is not clear whether this memorial was ever created. In a report of the Annual Meeting:
“ ‘In conclusion, I wish to state that over 60 members of the club have been with the colours, and that 90% of these volunteered for service. So far as my information goes, 13 of our clubmates made the supreme sacrifice . . . I trust this meeting tonight will decide on some form of framed memorial in honour of our brave comrades. I wish also to state that several of our members have gained military honours and altogether the club’s pre-war reputation has been nobly upheld on the battlefield’ . . . .It was decided to have a framed memorial hung in the club-room as a permanent record of members who made the supreme sacrifice in the great war”
