This tablet was erected in loving memory of
Sapper John William Smith R.E.
Husband of the late Jane Smith,
and son of John & Hannah Smith,
who was killed in action at Ypres
in Flanders, 15. Feby. 1916 aged 29 years.
He answered his country’s call.
