Memorial Description
Plaque 7 inches high x 8½ inches wide. There is a single line border. Lettering is in elongated Roman capitals with the prayer at the bottom in Gothic.

2nd Lieut. John Frederick Watson,
10th Batt. Northumberland Fusiliers,
beloved son of Robert and Jane Watson
of this City & formerly a choral scholar
of this Cathedral, who died of wounds
in France 23rd October 1917, aged 24 years.

and let light perpetual shine upon him."
