Memorial Description

Organ, double manual with fourteen stops.

Plaque 2 feet 6 inches high x 1 foot 10 inches wide set on a wood pattress 2 feet high x 2 feet 9 inches wide. There is a single line border with studs at intervals, the line going round the studs. The words “To the glory of God”, the place name headings and the quotation at the bottom are in red enamel. The names are listed in seven columns. All lettering in the dedication is elaborate upper and lower case, the names are in Roman black lettering with some red.

1. The Hartlepool Northern Daily Mail 09/08/1920 reports:-76 men who fell in the war; 33 belonged Bowburn, 16 to Cassop and 27 to Quarrington.
