1. The Committee were named as: Mr. R. Readhead; J.A. Kane (Secretary); S. Phillips; R. Fathers; M. Dobson; J. Harris; R.Jones.

2. East Jarrow comprised 140 homes, of whom 111 volunteered to fight, of whom 11 died.

3. M. Jules Faret, maker of the shrine, was presented with a watch.
