St. Aidan’s Church. The church is situated at the south-east corner of the junction of Stockton Road and Oxford Street, about a mile from the centre of town.

Memorial Description
Stained glass window of two lights. The left hand light depicts the martyrdom of St. Alban. The right hand light depicts St. Ninian preaching to the Picts. The dedication is carried in a panel at the foot of the right hand light in elaborate lower case lettering.

In memory of a much beloved son
John Henry Oldfield who fell in action
11th April 1918 this window is dedicated.
