Notes

1. "North Durham Rugby Club lost fifteen of its members who gave their lives for their country in the Great War. Their memory was recorded on a tablet that was hung in the Pavilion. It is not known which pavilion, the one at the Felling Flower Show ground that was completed in 1925, or at the Prince Consort Road ground. It is known, that the tablet was broken when contractors were trying to remove it and the only record of the original memorial is the facsimile that was produced in the commemorative programme, that was produced for the Jubilee Dinner in 1926.
Their memory was recorded later on the bronze plaque that also honoured the club members that gave their lives in the Second World War, this now hangs in the clubhouse of the new Gateshead Rugby club."
