Son of William John and Mary Jane Johnson, of 21, Hawthorne Terrace, West Cornforth.

The headstone reads:-

In loving memory of
Pte. Joseph William
Johnson
Beloved son of
William John &
Mary Jane Johnson
who died of wounds received in
France Aug. 25 - 1916
aged 20 years.

He answered his country's call.
