“On Sept. 21st, at the Imperial Hall, Mr. T. Burt presided and introduced Mr. J.F. Simpson, who pinned the Military Medal on Sergt. M. Laurie’s tunic. Mr. R. Heslop, on behalf of the Committee, made a presentation to Sergt. Laurie of a watch, wallet and Treasury Notes, one of the notes being the gift of Mr. J.F. Simpson.”
