In Grove Town Cemetery, Meaulte, Somme, France, is the Commonwealth War Grave of S/14657 Private Thomas Learmonth, serving with the 2nd Battalion Seaforth Highlanders, who died 23/01/1917.

He was the son of David and Ann Learmonth, of Berwickshire.

Morpeth Herald 02/02/1917 carries a brief obituary:

ROLL OF HONOUR

LEARMOUTH. [sic] - Died in France from pneumonia, Private Thomas Learmouth [sic], Seaforth Highlanders, the dearly beloved husband of Lucy Learmouth [sic], Ulgham.

All Army records and Census Records record him as Thomas Learmonth.

He is remembered at Ulgham as T. Learmouth on U1.01
