Flight Lieutenant
W.F. Marshall
Royal Air Force
4th March 1957 Age 32

Ft. Lieut. Marshall was in a WR557 Venom FB4 which took off from Lawlers Cross, Coglin Fell. The aircraft developed elevator problems and it is thought that crashed whilst attempting an emergency landing. The wreckage was not discovered for three days.
