Royal Air Force
1st March 1943 age 20

He did not spurn
His country's call
He gladly gave
His life, his all

Sgt. Gibson was serving with 15 OTU. He was a crew member of Wellington IC X3171 which took off from Harwell on a cross country training flight. Control of the aircraft was lost whilst flying in cloud and dived almost vertically into the ground. All the crew died.
