Simon Glancey has sent details of the headstone in Durban Military Cemetery, South Africa which reads:

In
Ever loving memory of
Henry Cook Hepple
Who was drowned
While serving in one of
H.M. Minesweepers
5th July 1917

“God his watch is keeping
Though none else be near”

The quotation is from a hymn, the first verse of which is “O let him whose sorrow no relief can find, / Trust in God, and borrow ease for heart and mind. / Where the mourner weeping sheds the secret tear, / God His watch is keeping, though none else is near.”

There does not appear to be a CWGC entry for Henry Cook Hepple.
