Bill Riccalton has supplied the following:

William Thomas Cook was born at Cranfield Bedfordshire, the son of Charles and Emily Cook whose home was at Croxley Green, Hertfordshire. He died as the result of a traffic accident whilst serving at Longhorsley as a dispatch rider in the 86th Field Regt. Royal Artillery on 20th June 1940. He collided with a gun tractor and trailer as it was turning into the Linden Hall entrance.
