In Redoubt Cemetery, Helles is the Commonwealth War Grave of Tyneside Z/1088 Able Seaman Ernest Godfrey Gott, serving with the Royal Naval Volunteer Service who died 05/07/1915.

Colin Boyd has submitted the following:

Ernest was born on 12th December 1893 and was working as a miner, living with his parents, Samuel and Louisa at 4, Murton Row, Percy Main when he enlisted in the Royal Naval Division on 5th November 1914. He joined the Anson Battalion on 8th February 1915 and was killed in action in Gallipoli on 5th July 1915.

Ernest Godfrey Gott is remembered in Percy Main on P22.01 (where his name is given as "Golt") and T36.14 page 12.
