In Tynemouth (Preston) Cemetery is a headstone which reads:

Sacred to the memory of
Thomas Chilton Ridley
killed through enemy action
Oct. 12th 1942 aged 29 years.
Also his father
Thomas C. Ridley
died Jan. 9th 1946 aged 56 years
Also Elizabeth Ann Ridley
a dear wife and mother
died Aug. 11th 1975 aged 84 years.
“The Lord is my Shepherd”.
