In Tynemouth (Preston) Cemetery is a family headstone which reads:

In loving memory of
John Dobing
Accidentally killed at Moorhouses N.Shields
July 26th 1915, aged 63 years.
Also Mary Frances his wife
Died Feb. 10th 1920 aged 69 years.
Pte. John Dobing, 22nd D.L.I. second son
Died of wounds at St.Quentin, France
March 26th. 1918 aged 29 years.

The CWGC entry for John Dobing seems to be for John Doving, he is also remembered in the DLI Book of Remembrance as Doving. Soldiers Died has John Doving born Gateshead Living Preston Village North Shields

He is remembered in North Shields on N34.11 and in Tynemouth on T36.14 page 9

He is also remembered in The DLI Book of Remembrance page 63
