In Tynemouth (Preston) Cemetery is a family headstone which reads:

In loving memory of
William Hearcy Bavidge
died 12th Oct. 1943 aged 74 years
and his beloved wife Sarah
died 11th March 1949 aged 81 years
also their son Eustace Stuart
died 20th Nov. 1918 aged 19 years
whilst a prisoner of war in Germany

He is remembered in North Shields on N34.08 and in Tynemouth on T36.14 page 4
